The Gender and Equality Unit targets staff responsible for planning public policies and civil servants at all levels of the Andalusian Administration.

Its initial targets are all staff involved in planning and managing the measures which comprise the Operative Programme 2000-2006.

Its second targets are all those who are interested in applying or enhancing the Integrated Gender Approach in their professional practice.

The Equality and Gender Unit offers training, specialised consulting, documentary resources, information on good practices and exchange of experiences on the Integration of the Gender Perspective.

Participation in the Equality and Gender Unit can be at different levels in any of the processes it develops. These are:
